Social Innovations for Cleaner Environments (SICE) is a non-profit organization that strives for creating a cleaner and more sustainable World.
Our vision is a clean World without waste or unsustainable activities.
Our mission is to conduct research in order to develop evidence-based innovative social technologies for sustainability for communities and organizations.
Core values of SICE
Sustainability. We believe that all human behaviour should have a positive or neutral impact on the environment. This means that we think that humans should at least not harm nature, but we strongly believe that everyone should make an effort to contribute to mitigating and solving environmental problems.
Helping the environment through the environment. We strongly believe that sustainable actions should be the default behaviour in all circumstances. This means that we do not focus on trying to change people; rather, we try to understand them and develop means of making sustainable behaviour more accessible and attractive to everyone.
Well-being of all conscious beings. We strongly believe in treating all animals with dignity and we condemn any activities that involve animal cruelty.
Fairness. We believe that everyone should be treated fairly. We believe that everyone should have an equal opportunity to strive for happiness and well-being, regardless of their age, gender, race, sexuality, ethnicity, or other characteristics.
Evidence above beliefs. We construct our understanding of the World through observing the available evidence. We strongly value scientific knowledge and use it to inform our decisions.
